Chamber choir Cantores Minores Wratislavienses was founded in 1966 by E. Kajdasz. Under the direction of the current conductor Piotr Karpeta (since 1991), the choir has grown to 18 singers in order to present the music of earlier eras in accordance with current production tendencies.  The artists also perform in other smaller groups, from 4 to 12 people, working together with other ensembles in Poland and abroad and also perform as soloists. The repertoire of the ensemble, which consists of over 800, includes all European music from the Middle Ages to contemporary times.

The ensemble has given almost 2500 concerts, have made over 1000 radio, television and CD recordings (over 40 CDs) and has appeared in several festivals (among others  36 times at the festival Wratislavia Cantans). During its trips abroad, the group has visited the majority of European countries, Israel, Turkey, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Mexico. The 2007 CD recording from the series Musica Claromontana volume 21 with the works of Józef Elsner received a nomination for the Fryderyk 2007 award. Over the last years, the group has appeared in festivals such as Warszawska Jesień, Gaude Mater (eight times), Musica Polonica Nova, Legnica Cantat and has recorded more CDs.

According to the repertoire and when necessary, the choir is enlarged and preforms as Cantores Maiores Wratislavienses.

Pior Karpeta graduated from the Musical Academy in Katowice, where he worked later as an assistant. For ten years he was a choirmaster in the Opolski Philharmonic preparing several concert programs and recordings. Since 1991 jest the the director of Wrocławscy Kameraliści and leads the Cantores Minores Wratislavienses choir. He is the co-founder and soloist of the Ars Cantus ensemble and Men’s Choir Oktoich of the Orthodox Church of Cyril and Methodius in Wrocław. The has preformed as a choir director and singer in more than 20 countries in several dozen programs recorded by Polskie Radio and Telewizja Polska and in more than 20 recorded CDs.
